Angel Business Communications Ltd, organisers of the SDC Awards and Publishers of the SDC Channel Insights Magazine are active supporters of local community groups. Our chosen charity organisation for 2023 is GNP Sports Community football club, based in Coventry.
The club has been established since 1983 and now boasts 21 youth football teams, ranging from under 7’s to under 16’s. The club are also accredited as a Weetabix Wildcats Centre for Girls only football, which has led to the formation of 3 all girl teams for the 2022/2023 season. The club has over 250 junior players, which represents a doubling of participation in the last 3 years.
As a grassroots and community football club GNP Sports needs funding help for winter training venue hire, pitch hire. Social events for the children (awards, dinners, football tournaments) and football kit/equipment. The organisation is run by volunteers and rely on funding to help keep the cost of participation for the children free/minimal cost. GNP Sports are an inclusive club, meaning we try and encourage children of all backgrounds to be able to play football, if they wish to do so.
We are using the SDC Awards gala evening to help raise funds for the football club. Please do give generously, so we can support the community club and allow them to continue the excellent work they do.
Every attendee can make one donation to buy one raffle ticket – it is voluntary to enter however please do give generously so we can fund raise for our community charity.
On the night, every attendee will have an envelope on their chair containing 2 raffle tickets. If you have donated online, pop one raffle ticket into the collection envelope on your table and keep the other raffle ticket as a record of your raffle number. If you are donating on the night, you can donate via your phone at an online payment page (QR code in your envelope) or place cash in the collection envelope together with one of your raffle tickets. The raffle tickets will be collected after dinner and put into a box and 3 picked out at random, to win one of 3 fantastic prizes.
